The Seven Vagabonds
The Seven Vagabonds is a story by Hawthorne that tells of a young itinerant novelist who, at a crossroads, decides to share his journey to Stamford on board a caravan owned by a magician. During the trip they will come across five more characters the young novelist confronts himself with, similar to one another in their ways of life, all going to the same place. Mindful of the period of unrest caused by the industrial and religious revolution that struck America in the nineteenth century, they arrive at their destination and the entire company discover that their journey has been in vain and having no more reason to stay together, they lose sight of each other.
