Tongues are set wagging at the post office when Emily and Jane make their home together running a B & B in the small close-knit village near Nottingham, but the gossips are taken by surprise when Emily suddenly becomes pregnant. Only Emily and Jane know who the father is, and they think he is out of their lives for ever. Alas, life is rarely that simple!
