What is an ebook?
An ebook is the digital equivalent to the printed book. For Ellibs Oy, a digital book refers to an ebook in Adobe PDF format which can be read using the Adobe Reader software and soon by the Adobe Digital Editions software as well.
The PDD file format created by Adobe provides the standard solution to reading, editing and printing ebooks. The PDF format is used globally.
“I think it’s absolutely amazing to be able to get the book that I need right on my computer. I’m in the army now, but that doesn’t prevent me one bit from getting the works I need for my studies over the Internet from my school’s library. I’m not saying I don’t like traditional books, but many a time the ebooks are just unbelievably convenient,” says science student Joona Putkonen.
